Scanning stalls halfway through

HP Recommended
HP 2135
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi!

I am experiencing problems with my HP 2135. As I scan a document, the bar scanner stalls halfway through then stays there. I have tried reinstalling the full version software. I also tried restarting, and replacing the printer usb cable. The printer and photocopy function seems to work fine. The only problem is the scanning

Thanks in advance for the help
