Screen says: 'there is paper jammed; the cartridge cannot move', but there is no paper

Screen says: 'there is paper jammed; the cartridge cannot move', but there is no paper anywhere. The cartridge is stuck to the far left side of the printer / scanner. How can I clear that so the ink cartridge will go to it's correct position?

Hi @Atiado,
Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
As I understand you are having a Paper Jam error message on your HP Printer screen. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Could you provide me with the Printer product number? (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...) http://hp.care/2bygf7l
Have you tried to move the carriage manually?
Have you tried to reset the printer?
In the meantime, let's try to perform a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.
If your printer connected wirelessly, make sure to temporary connect the device with USB and then follow the link to check for the latest firmware update if available for your printer, using this website.
For more details, please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - 'Paper Jam' Error
If nothing works, I would suggest the next step would be to perform a Semi-full reset on the printer. In order to provide you with an accurate solution, I would need the product number. Please respond to this post with the details for further assistance.
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
