Windows Vista Home Basic, Service pack 2

No this problem does't occur when making copies. Printing pictures works fine. Even pdf-files seem to print out okay.

Thanks for helping out.

Hello sisla,

Which internet browser are you printing from?  I would suggest trying to print from alternate browsers, such as Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, to see if there is any differences in the result.

I don't think it's a browser related problem since it also occurs when printing microsoft word documents.

Hi sisla,

If the issue occurs in a word program, then it is most likely not the browser.  I would recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

I've already tried that. HP print and scan doctor tells me everything is working just fine.:smileyfrustrated:

I tried printing the same pages on Internet Explorer 9 and they came out fine.

Hi sisla,

I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.

Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration.  You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would reinstalling, using the HP Photosmart C5100, C6100 and C7100 All-in-One Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Please let me know how that goes.

Hi Billy_Boy,

If the printer is functioning from your programs and Internet Explorer, then the issue appears to be in Google Chrome.  Seeing as browser issues are not something we troubleshoot, I would recommend reinstalling Google Chrome. If that does not resolve the issue, I would recommend utilizing the Google Chrome Help Center.

Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

My Epson 2400 prints the same web pages without any issues!

Blaming the problem all on Google doesn't seem fair.

What about using Google Cloud Print?  Would that make any difference?
