Storing a color laser printer

HP Recommended

Hi,

I have a LaserJet CP1525n color laser printer

Now the black toner is completely depleted.. the color toner not yet!

I already have a black replacement genuine toner cartrige in hand...
The QUESTION is... If i plan not to use my printer for a long period... a year may be... Is it better to replace the empty printer black cartrige now? or is it better to keep the old one in and replace it when i start using my printer again?

thank You so much

Hello, I will be glad to assist you with your questions about replacing the toner cartridge.

It would be best to replace the cartridge AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This will prevent further damage from the printer. Sometimes when the cartridges stay empty and not replace, it can damage the print head and then you would be running into a entire different issue.
