HP Envy 5530
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I seem to be stuck in a loop after changing ink cartridges on my HP Envy 5530 printer. It prints the alignment page (sometimes) after switching on, then asks me to scan it. This I cannot do, it's just stuck saying Scanning Alignment Page, nothing happens. I can actually print other documents from my Mac but I cannot get back to the normal screen. I've tried the usual methods for re-setting, taking the cartridges out. If I turn it off and back on I just get the same message about having to print the alignment page again. Is there any way to skip this stage when you put new cartridges in? Or just go back to factory defaults and start the set-up again?
