Hi! @Henze, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand you have issues printing from yellow from your printer.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Have you tried changing the yellow cartridge?

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Use an automated tool to clean and unclog the printheads.
   CAUTION:
Never turn off the printer when ink cartridges are missing. Make sure you replace any missing ink cartridges as soon as possible to avoid print quality issues and possible extra ink usage or damage to the ink system. To avoid issues that require cleaning the printhead, always turn the printer off with the Power button on the printer itself.
Load plain white paper into the tray.
Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
On the control panel, touch the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.
Touch Setup, and then touch Tools.
Touch Clean Printheads.
The printer cleans the printheads.
Wait while the printer completes the printhead cleaning process, and then touch OK. You might have to clean the printheads more than once for the best print quality.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I hope you have a great day! 🙂

I did as I was instructed but unfortunate the only colors which was printed out were shades of black, shades of blue , shades of mauve, shades of pink and shades of a lighter blue.   So I am still completely confused. Where is the yellow. Please help me .

@Henze, It's been great to hear from you again.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

Are you able to make a yellow copy from your printer?

As you mentioned your printer prints only shades of blue, black and pink but it does not print yellow.

It certainly looks to be an issue with the yellow ink cartridge, try changing the yellow cartridge and check if it helps.

Also, try the steps recommended below.

Follow these steps to print the Print Quality Diagnostics Page.
Load plain white paper into the tray.
On the control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display the second navigation screen.
Touch Setup ().
Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.
Touch Print Quality Report. The Print Quality Diagnostics Page prints.
Do an initial evaluation of the Print Quality Diagnostics Page.
If the patterns on the report show no defects, the print mechanism and ink supplies are working correctly. Do not continue with the steps in this solution. Skip to the solution in this document to check the image for further troubleshooting steps.
If the patterns on the report are extremely streaked or are missing some portions, continue to the next step.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot print quality issues.

If the Print Quality Diagnostics Page does not print yellow if could be an issue with the yellow ink cartridge or the print head.
