Office jet 5610

 Touch screen wont light up therefore I'm  unable to copy or scan or use settings. I can only use the printer function.

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you are unable to the touchscreen on your printer. 

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you. 

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

Are you referring to the buttons on the printer or printer display? (Officejet 5610 does not have a touchscreen, click here.)

 

The issue you are facing seems to be a hardware issue, however, recommend you perform a hard reset on the printer. 

Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable and check. 

If the printer is detected on the computer. 

Download and install the firmware update on your computer from www.hp.com/drivers

Please have the printer connected to your computer using a USB cable during the firmware update.

If the issue persists, please contact our phone support for the service options available. 

 

Please follow the procedure mentioned below to contact our phone support. 

  • Open link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
  • Enter Product number or select to auto detects
  • Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
  • Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number.
