Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

When I instruct  the 4620 software system to save a scanned page (pdf, jpg etc), the system hangs itself.

Even after reinstalling the 4620 software from scratch the system hangs the moment I try to save the 2nd scan. Is this an HP problem or should I search in the MS Windows domain?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Dolf,

Try installing HP Scan Extended, then open teh program from Start > All Apps > HP > HP Scan Extended and try scanning:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Please let me know if you may see any difference and can scan using the newly added software.

Regards,

Shlomi

Hi Shlomi,

Thanks for the tip.

Installed HP SCan Extended.

Scanning worked, but saving the scan made the system also "hang".

HI Dolf,

Experiencing the exact same behavior with both HP Scan and HP Scan Extended indicate an operating system error as those are completely different programs with the exact same behavior...

The first thing I would suggest is ensuring your PC have sufficient resource, meaning a memory of at least 2 GB RAM and a free harddisk space of not less than 2.5 GB on drive C.

As well I would suggest ensuring you ave the latest operating system updates installed and check if that may make any difference.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi
