UNABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY SET UP FAX

HP Recommended
HP OFFICEJET 4632

I have been trying to set up my fax on my printer.  My printer is set up with WIFI and that is where the telephone cable goes to.  The cable comes up out of the floor and into the WIFI.  I have connected a phone cable to 1line and the then into the WIFI.  I dial a fax number and can hear it dialing.  I have tried several different fax numbers but none of them answer.  The Fax Test Report says that the
Fax Hardware Test passes but that the fax in not connected to active telphone wall jack.  I have no wall jack, only the WIFI.

What do I do to resolve this problem

Thanks

@PIANOPLAYER1,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to set up the fax on your HP Officejet 4632 e-All-in-One Printer over the Wi-Fi network.

This issue has occurred because HP fax machines do not work on the wi-fi network.

Here is printer specification for fax:

  • Analog line - HP printers are designed specifically for use with traditional analog phone services

  • Digital Service Line / VOIP Service - HP does not guarantee that the printer will be compatible with all digital service lines or providers, in all digital environments, with VOIP, or with all digital-to-analog converters

You have a good day ahead.
