Solved!

Unable to load Solution centre from CD-Rom with Windows 10 to Scan

Photosmart C4780
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Things were running fine with my old computer running Windows 7. However that computer failed last week, well it was 10 years old, and I bought a new computer with Windows 10.

It had no problem with wireless printing working immediately. However I need to have the program loaded in in order to Scan documents. I believe the program is called HP Solution centre? Despite having the original CD-Rom I'm unable to install the program.

It presents a picture of a mediterannean house fron with a brown front door and the message "Select Install to begin installing your new HP device' however Instrall is not presented as an option, only "Exit".

I tried the Support website without success, all I can find is Drivers.

Help greatly appreciated.

Robert

@RobertinHerts

You will not find a software download link for Solution Center from HP because it is part of your printer’s full feature software solution.

Install HP Solution Center with the Windows full feature software from HP’s website, or use the Printer Install Wizard.
