My HP6500n has been printing wirelessly OK; then abruptly became unable to print, with message"unable to get printer status." I searched the forum for guidance, tried to follow one that directed me to Applications->Hewlett Packard->uninstall, etc. When going to Applications on my MacBook Pro, cannot find any Hewlett Packard/HP files at all. Zero. (Same for a different manufacturer's printer that still prints wirelessly w/o problem). I've done a "spotlight" search for Hewlett Packard and asked "Siri" to find same, but they find nothing resembling HP.

@GeeDeeJay,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to print on the wireless network from your HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the printer is not configured properly on the network.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Printer Not Found During Network Driver Setup (Mac)

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
