Product: Officejet Pro 8610
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

I've been using this device strickly as a copier, but of late I've had to scan some pages to an external Memory Device (stick)

while the scan functions just fine, the .HPIMAGE.VFS is not viewable by any conventions on my Windows Vista PC. Is there an offical HP download program to make this file viewable?

I answered my own question, the defaul is the .VFS but on this 8610 the format can be changed within the scanning menu.
