Let me know what happens. This seems to be a print head issue, or bad cartridges.

Hi,

which printer ?

it again differ from product to product.

There are so many reason for cartridge alignment failed, here are few which i could recall.
The ink in the print cartridge is low or out.
The paper is used or printed on already.
The paper is colored instead of plain, white paper.
The protective tape on a new print cartridge has not been removed.
The contacts on the print cartridge are not meeting the contacts in the print carriage.
The print cartridge is remanufactured or refilled.
The ink nozzles are clogged.
if the alignment process is not completed

THANKS FOR THE PROMPT AND ALL INCLUSIVE REPLY TO THE ALIGNMENT FAILED QUERY.  THE MODEL IS A HPENVY 100 WIRELESS PRINTER/COPIER/SCANNER.  THE ONLY THING THAT SEEMS TO APPLY IS TO INSTALL NEW CARTRIDGES.  I WILL TRY THIS AND LET YOU KNOW THE RESULTS.

P.S.  THE COPIER STOPPED COPYING AND THEN THE PRINTER ONLY PRINTED OUT IN A LIGHT BLUE.

THANX AGAIN...HANKGREEN

I have a Photosmart C6300.  Everytime I have to put new HP ink cartridges in, the printer does not print using any ink.  It goes through the print process, but the page comes out clean.  I have

cleaned the printhead but the alignment still failed.  What can I try next?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry that this alignment failed message if giving you all a hard time. If you have performed all of the cleaning steps, (manually taking the print head out and cleaning), you may need to contact HP Support (1800-474-6836).

@domaised, you can follow the link below and see if it helps.

@edwardcharles, can you manually take out the print head and clean it? You can also perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

What is your product # on the back of the printer?
