only when I copy a doccument the copy have a line in the center of the paper of about of 3/4 of an inche wide from top

to the end of the page, Please if someone have has the same problem  my printer HP Officejet 5740

Hi h-do,

 

Thank you for purchasing HP products.

 

You can following the steps shown in Youtube to clean the scanner glass with glass cleaner and soft cloth.

If the issue only happen when using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), you may want to focus your attention on the small strip of glass it uses on the far left side. If the issue only happen when using the flatbed glass, you may want to focus your attention to the large piece of glass.
