Windows 7, Scanner Driver won't install for Laserjet 2320 fxi mfp

Product: HP Laserjet 2320 fxi mfp
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently had my computer serviced and cleaned up. In the process, several software programs were deleted, included my print and scan utility (including drivers).  I went to the HP support site, downloaded and installed the scan utility, however I keep getting an error when it comes to installing the scanner driver. 

 

My printer works fine but I can't get the system to install the scanner driver, rendering that funtion of my machine useless. I use my scanner all the time and this is causing a huge problem. 

 

What are some possible solutions here? One thing I have considered is upgrading my system to Window's 10, but that will cost $100. Any other solutions here?
