Won't print text

The printer has always been fussy so it was suggested to me that I install all available MAC software updates to see if the connection and speed of printing improve.  I did that and also replaced all ink cartridges.  Now Mac is quickly communicating with the printer, acts like its printing, but the page comes out blank.  No test page, no diag page has any text/ink on it.  Do I need to replace the print heads??  My printer is at least 5 yrs old, gets moderate household use, and the print heads have never been replaced.  Please advise.  THX!

PS  I also cleaned the printheads (to level 3) and aligned cart which failed.

Hello,

Since you have tried performing Clean Printhead and the issue still exists, i'd suggest you to replace the printhead.

You may buy printhead by visiting www.hp.com/go/SureSupply
