c4180 all-in-one cant install on my laptop. HELP

I just got a new laptop for school. I have had my printer for a few years now and I love it, never once had a problem. I currently have Windows 7 on a Samsung laptop. I really need to get this resolved and I have no idea what to do. I really do not want to buy a new printer that I can not afford when I have a perfectly good one right in front of me. Any advice is appreciated, please help!

I'm betting the problem isn't the port you're using then. I'm betting it's that the drivers aren't compatible with the version of Windows you're using. Below is a link to the right software and drivers. Try using those and let me know what happens. Make sure that you don't connect the printer to the computer until the install tells you to.

c4180 all-in-one cant install on my laptop. HELP

What error messages are you getting?

Are you trying to connected the printer via wireless or USB?

If USB, are you connecting it to a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port?

Oh and I think the error message had something to do with drivers?

What's the exact model of your computer? I may be able to look up the specs and see what kind of ports you have.
