cartridge 21 vs 21b

Sorry, I can't find a clear answer.

For F2280 was bought 21b cardridge, and now the black color does't print.

F2280 support the 21 cartridge, but no find information about 21b.

Is it possible if printer support 21 but don't support 21b?

I've checked and the HP Deskjet F2280 should be able to accept the HP21 and HP 21b Black cartridges.

If the black is not printing then you may have some other issue. You may find this trouble shooting site useful:

You could also try this help document for faded or dull coloured prints:

I hope that this helps.

Hi epetrov,

When looking at the specifications for your printer the cartridges that are compatible with your Deskjet F2280 are the HP 21 Black Inkjet Cartridges (see pic below)

I also seen a great thread which lists the compatible printers for the HP 21 Black Inkjet Cartridge, this great information was posted by Ciara_B

There is no mention of the HP 21b Black Inkjet Cartridge being compatible with your DJ F2280, so I would stick with the 21 cartridge you are use to using.

I am leaving you a great source for the future please click here for Determining Ink Cartridge Compatibility.  I hope this helps and if you require more assistance, please let me know.
