cartridge replace message

Have an AIO HP 6400 series. Got message cartridge error, replace cartridge on left. This is the tri-color cartridge. Replaced cartridge, and still get the same message, and can't use the pritner in any form, color, or just black for copying. Thoughts, help, all that can be provided. The replacement cartridge has not been opened for about six/seven months, and of course, has never been used. Much thanks, Jim S

I have the same problem on a 5608 all in one. Did you receive any useful advice? I know my cartridges are not the problem as I tried new ones and received the same message.
