does the hp 3830 have twain software

I am having trouble finding an adequate OCR for my machine. I have tried two free program, but, do not get satisfactory copies. Can Anyone tell me if the 3830 is a TWAIN scanner and/or if READIRIS 16 will work well with the 3830? All I get from the scanner now is PDF. If I want to convert to Word I must either rent or buy something else.

I would like to inform you that OCR is used only for scanning, it does not work for copying.

You can scan your file and save those as word documents directly. Please refer to section Scan with HP Scan software in the below document.
