Hi,

I just noticed on my new HP ENVY 5640  that there is only 1 size photopaper allowed in the Photo tray, i.e 10 x 15 cm.

 

Disappointment, but then I thought to use the regular tray (A4), which is resizable.

 

So I put in my 12x17 photopaper. this photopaper is sold by HP with their cartridges.

 

But then the message came up that the paper is too short or similar words.

 

Is it possible to buy/request a different phototray that I can put into my printer?

Any other suggestion is appreciated to use a non 10x15 paper size.

If you have not done so:  Download, save, and install the Full Feature Software

Photo Tray is designated for 10 X 15 cm (4 x 6 inch) paper.  Sad, but true.

 

Datasheet indicates the maximum allowed paper sizes:

Media sizes Supported A4; A5; B5; DL; C6; A6; Custom: 97.79 x 215 to 127 x 355 mm

 

Maximum paper size:   8.4 X 13.9 inches

 

12 X 17 inch paper is not supported.

 

A4 size paper  is supported:

A4 measures 210 × 297 millimeters or 8.27 × 11.69 inches.

 

 

Use Tray 1 for A4 paper -- designate Source: Tray 1 in the printing software (as opposed to leaving the choice as "Automatic" or similar wording)

 

Designate the Media type (kind of paper) and Size of Paper in the printing software setup.

 

To reduce errors or missed configurations:  Download, install, and use:
