8600 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As I said, I have an HP Office jet pro 8600 all in one printer and windows 10 operating sys.

I am trying to print a document ( 8840 IRS form ) . It displays the whole form but when printed, the top 1/2 inch is cut off or not diplayed when printed.

Any ideas.

Thank You

Ken

Hello, @cwich1 – Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome back to the HP Forums, I'd be happy to help you with your printer issue!

Going through your post, I see that you are having difficulty printing the IRS form. To isolate this issue further, I need to know the following details:

  1. Is the issue specific to printing the IRS forms? Is it printing the regular pages fine?
  2. Can the printer make a good photocopy? Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.
  3. What is the paper size of the IRS form?

While awaiting your reply, try reinstalling the printer drivers which will help you in most cases. Here are the steps:

  • Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now click on http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL40120/bi-108858-4/OJ8600_1315-1.exe to download and install the printer drivers.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation and then try to print the form.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
