designjet 800ps
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have hunted the HP website over for firmware update for a designjet 800ps. Can someone direct me to where I can find this update?

I had the same issue. I contacted Tom at https://designjetpartsfast.com

He helped me make sure what the problem was and sent me the file for free.

I may still have to buy a formatting board but if so I will buy it and all future parts from him.

Thanks, I contacted the supplier that I used for a replacement belt and he told me where to find the update. also advised me to reseat ram on gl/2 card before buying the formatting board.  I replaced all printheads and ink and that resolved what other problems I had.

How do I 'reseat ram on gl/2 card'?

Hi,

The latest firmware version is A.04.02, released at Feb 27, 2009 and therefore only avaiable up to Windows Vista, there is no later update for Windows 7 or any later Windows OS version.

I would not recommend using the Vista firmware utility with compatibility mode to avoid any possibility to brick the printer, if you have an earlier firmware I suggest getting a laptop with Vista if you can  find a such from family, a friend, etc.
