It was on the network at one time with an IP. I did this by running the installer CD that came with the printer. For whaterver reason I no longer have the CD. I have an Actiontec C1000A. What are you thinking MAC address? I also have bluetooth on my laptop. I have tried paring but the laptop doesn't find the printer and visa versa.

No MAC address filtering is worthless. Your printer and router will not play well together (as with most ISP-issued routers, they are non-standard and problematic).
First, restart your router by pulling its power plug momentarily.
Next, on the printer: Setup > Wireless > Restore defaults.
On your Mac, click the wifi icon in the menu bar and look for a wireless "network" starting with "hp". Connect to it.
Back on the printer: Setup > Wireless > Wireless Network Test. Print it to get the printer's (self-assigned) IP address.
Type that IP address into the address bar of a web browser to reveal the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS). Go to the Network Tab and look for the Wireless Setup Wizard. Run it to connect the printer to your wireless network.
Back on the Mac, go back to the wifi icon and select your regular wireless network again.
Finally, Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

This is what I did and didn't do.
I did not reset the router. This was the first attempt and I wanted to do the minimum on first attempt.
I restored the defaults on the printer but the radio was off so I turned it on.
Found the hpsetup network and connected to it, printed a config report and connected to the ip the report listed.
Reset the printing system and readded the printer. It is now online with my home Wi-Fi network with IP 192.168.0.7
Printed a test page to confirm. Thanks much.

What do you have a MAC laptop or PC laptop. If MAC then the software will come from software update. If it's PC I will assume that you will need to go through HP support online.

My new wireless Photosmart printer worked fine a few times, now it won't print from computer with message that it is OFFLINE. How do I fix this annoying situation? Many thanks!

I relocated my All-in-one 6180 photo smart in my house and now I can't get the printer back on line; both my lap top and printer indicate that they are connected to the wireless network. We also experienced a power outage recently.
