Ijust purchased a HP Officejet 4630. The message that came up immediately upon installation is to turn printer off and then on & if the problem is not fixed, the scanner component is broken and cannot copy or scan.
It seems to be an hardware issue with scanning module.
Iam afraid, you might have to get the printer SERVICED.
