How do i copy a 2 sided document to 2 sided page?  All I can get is 1 sided to to copies or 1 sided to one side of page.

Hi,

From printer control panel, touch Copy then Settings ... you have many options in there including 2-sided copy.

Regards.

Re: hp officejet pro 8610 2 sided copy

This is probably not what you want to hear, but the Officejet 8610 does not support automatic two-sided scanning.  According to the document here the Officejet 8620 and 8630 support automatic two-sided scanning, the Officejet 8610 does not.

"Breeze through multipage documents with automatic two-sided scanning and the 50-page auto
document feeder (for 8620/8630 only)."

Hi @Bob_Headrick,

That what I thought too but after checking again and read the manual c04204791.pdf I did reply the user as above.

Re: hp officejet pro 8610 2 sided copy

@banhien - sorry to step in a thread you were responding in, when I started my reply there had not been any replies but it took a while for me find the information I posted.   I could not find any definitive information in the user manual, but did find it in the datasheet.

My experience with the Officejet 8600 series was that the Officejet Pro 8600 offered single sided copies to single or double sided results (1->1, 1 -> 2) but NOT double sided originals to single or double sided copies (2->1 or 2->2).  In my case this is why I chose the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, it did offer the 2->1 and 2->2 copy options.  I think the Officejet 8600 is similar to the 8610, the 8600 Plus is similar to the 8620 and the 8600 Premium is similar to the 8630 in features.

I am certain the Officejet Pro 8610 does not support scanning or copying the back side automatically, this can be checked in the copy options.

Yes I see them but none of the options allow you to copy a 2 sided document to both sides of the same sheet of paper.

Because your model does not support this....

I reluctantly accept your answer, but it is not the one I had hoped to hear.  Thank you for taking the time to provide an answer.

Re: hp officejet pro 8610 2 sided copy

I ran into the same prob; I did not try each of the features AT the store before buying the unit.  Unfortunately, the 8610 does not make 2-sided copies from a 2-sided original.  The only way to do it (but wastes 1 sheet of paper) is to copy the reverse side of the original, put both copies into the ADF tray and select 2-sided copying.

For whatever reason, HP allows the "scan" feature to ask whether you want to scan anoth pg before it completes the scan.  Why they did not offer the same feature on "copy", I have no clue.

Depending on when you purchased the unit, you may be able to talk the store into allowing you to exchange the 8610 for the 8620 or 8630.
