I have a brand new ENVY 4520 printer. The ink housing doesn't move over enough to put the ink cartridge into the housing.

Please let me know if you know how to fix this problem. Thank you.

Greetings @Judy06-28

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to install the cartridges on your printer as the ink carriage is not moving.

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

Are you using a surge protector to connect the power cord of the printer?

Have you removed all the packaging materials from your new printer?

Request you try the steps suggested in this HP Article to over the issue with the carriage not moving. (Skip Step 2)

Let me know how it goes.
