HP Officejet Pro 8610

I have had the Officejet 8610 printer for a couple of years and it works great for my use.  However, after a recent power outage, I've had to reinstall the printer multiple times per day.  AFter about 15 minutes, it disconnects itself.   I have attempted to update and reinstall the drivers but I keep getting an error message that specifically mentions OJ8610 in the error code.

Is there anything that will clean this up on the HP side??  Or is there another alternative to this procedure?

Thank you!

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that your HP Officejet 8610 printer keeps disconnecting. I would like to help you out with this issue today.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • Is the wireless connection on the printer keeps discounting in the printer?
  • Which OS is installed on the computer?

Meanwhile:

  • Restart the computer, printer, and router.
  • Check the status of the wireless connection.
  • Update the printer firmware.
  • Assign a manual IP address to your printer.

Click here and follow the steps mentioned in the document to fix this issue.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
