Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer. I read that after installing new HP ink cartridges, there's an error message on the printer stating incompatible printhead. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.
Does the error message say incompatible printhead or incompatible print cartridges?
Do you get an option to press OK? Have you restarted the printer and checked?
If you insert the old cartridges back, does the error go away?
Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Now you may remove all cartridges out and insert one cartridge at a time and check for which cartridge the error appears. You may perform the steps as described in detail from this link. These are tried and tested steps that usually help is fixing such cartridge related issues.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂
