Solved!

is there a way to calibrate the print cartridges on the hp6980 color inkjet printer?

HP Recommended

I put in a new color cartridge, but even black/white pages are "blurry".  The text almost looks 3-dimensional.

Why is this happening and what can I do to correct it?

I suggest you realign the printer inks again, Link below has steps to align for Window OS : http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01867535

Also try Reset the product

  1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
  2. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button ( ) to turn it on.

You might like to clean the ink catridge golden contacts manually for better results.

Hope this helps.

I work for HP but my posts and replies are my own.

Have a great day!!!
