HP Office Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

We can print from our computers but i cannot scan from computer or printer/scanner and my computer shows. And now the boss's computer will not scan from his computer and his computer is missing from the printer/scanner list at the device itself. But I am able to print and scan from my personal laptop. And somehow I got the eprint from email to work. I have no clue where the cd is for the printer. What can I do? I have turned off/on everything numerous times. Please help!

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. 

 

As I understand you have issues with the scanning feature as it doesn't seem to work as you prefer it to work,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: 

Since you don't recall where the installation CD for the printer is, did you try installing the drivers from the Official HP Website?
(if you haven't: Click here to download the drivers)

 

If the issue persists, HP Officejet Pro 8600 Printers - Scan to Computer, Email, or PDF: Click here
