I have the HP m3035. The device was sending scans to email fine, then it just failed.
I have tried cold reset, no change.
I have re-updated the firmware (I already had the current version installed), no change.
I tried to re-initialize the hard drive from the reset panel but the option for re-initializing did not appear on the display!? Does that mean the hard drive is dead?
I did notice that during the startup sequence there appears in the bottom right of the digital display panel an icon of a hard drive with a flashing , moving magnifying glass. Does that mean it can't find the hard drive?
Thanks for your help.

I should note that I suspect the hard disc because we can no longer digitally send anything from the mfp. It was sending fine until last week when it started giving the "E-mail gateway not responding" error. It will not "send to folder" either.
I have tried cold resetting and when I tried to re-initialize the hard disc (press and hold "5" etc.) no option to do re-initialize appeared on the printer's lcd panel screen. Also on restart, there appears an icon in the lower right of the lcd panel of a hard disc with a moving magnifying glass (searching for the disc?).
The only odd errors are these two and one without a description. All other errors were paper jam related.

I can access the printer on the LAN at the ip address assigned to it. I can access the printers web interface at that address also.
The real problem with the printer, and the reason I am questioning the hard drive, is that the machine is not sending anything out over the network. That is, it will not scan to email ("email gateway not responding" error), it will not send to folder (HP wizard says the setup is correct), and it will not Autosend to my email.
The machine was sending email fine, and then about three weeks ago it just stopped. No changes were made to the settings, it just stopped.
I have tried everything I can think of including, cold reset, hard drive re-initializing, re-inputting all network info.
Do you have any suggestions?
Could the hard drive cause this to happen?
Hard drive is Fujitsu MHZ2080BH G2.
