my new hp office jet pro 6970 will not print everything is set up properly , wireless is connected

hp office jet pro 6970

this new printer will not print.  it is set up correctly, wireless is working.  I can get it to copy but not print from my macBook

totally frustrated that there is not a live person to speak to about this   If a company is willing to take the purchase money for a product they should have assistance without going through all this to speak to a tec.

Hey @frrrancine, thanks for choosing HP and welcome to the Forums!

 

You can certainly call and speak with a phone support professional if you'd like. What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.
 

If you'd like my assistance, I'd be happy to help you print from the Mac. Although you didn't mention seeing a printer offline message, the following document will help you to troubleshoot the issue as you've described it: HP Printers - 'Printer Offline' or 'Printer Not Responding' Message (Mac).
