officejet 6210 and windows7 Full software package for scan button to work on printer

Hi I have seen posts that suggest installing the software in order to get the scan button on the 6210 printer to work. I cannot find the drivers for windows 7 64 bit that allow the scan button function on the printer to work. Does anyone have the location of the drivers required? I can scan images using windows 7 but would like the software to get the button working. I tried installing the full 420 MB package but after detecting the printer it hung and had to be stopped.

Many Thanks

Re: officejet 6210 and windows7 Full software package for scan button to work on printer

Hi Thanks although I am sure I have tried this one I will try it again. Remember I can already print and scan from Windows 7 but the scan button on the printer does not work and a message is displayed on the printer display regarding software driver not installed. I thought this functionality came from a software app that was available for xp. It used to scan using the button into an image or pdf? Is this not correct or no longer available?

Re: officejet 6210 and windows7 Full software package for scan button to work on printer

You are corret and this is no longer available.

This device enjoys support via the in-os drivers only on win7, and hp doesn't offer the application support that was on XP on win7.

You can create scanned images via the WIA support built into win7, but cannot launch via the device button.

Are you freaking kidding? You must be a robot to suggest the same lame link that has no software that works.
