officejet 6700 premium touch screen

Hi all, I have a officejet 6700 premium however recently the touchscreen has become completely unresponsive. It still displays the menus but does not allow me to select anything. All help appreciated !!

To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

 

I see that you are having some issues with the touchscreen not working on your printer. 

 

 

I do have a suggestion for you that I think may resolve the issue.

 

Please make sure you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and NOT a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses as LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the link the explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.

 

Once you have the printer connected to a wall outlet, please use the On/Off button to power cycle the unit.  Once it is back up and running, please attempt to use the touch screen.

 

 

Please write me back if this did not resolve the issue or if you have any other questions.

Thanks waterboy for your reply.
Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue. The screen still lights up and displays a picture but does not allow me to use the touch function of the screen.

Thank you for getting back to me.  Please try the Firmware update for your printer.  This may have the fix for the issue that you are having with the touch screen.  HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Firmware.
