Hello, @christine671 – Hope you are well 🙂

Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I understand you are having trouble getting the printer installed after the Windows 10 update. Let’s first make sure the printer is connected to the network, if connected via wireless. Here are the steps if you need to reconnect the printer to the network:

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Connection Information icon (the icon might appear as Wired () or Wireless () depending on your current setup), and then touch Wireless Menu.

  2. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard.

The printer searches for available wireless networks.

  3. Touch the name of your network, and then follow the instructions on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network.

Now, follow the steps below to reinstall the printer to the Windows PC:

  • First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now click http://hp.care/2oRduzI to install the software.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
