HP Envy 120 All in one
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I have an HP Envy 120, mac book air, o/s Sierra 10.12.4 and I am looking for a simple method to choose a one-sided/two-sided print option each time I print.  At present I only print one sided.  Sometimes, depending on where I print from, I am given the two-sided option, sometimes not.  I'd like to have the option all the time.  I think a common way to do this is to arrange a default setting using open text, but I don't know how to do it.  I have succeeded to do this in the past but keep 'losing' the two-option-setting.

Any wise counsel out there.  Thanks in advance.  Malypense (Rick)

Hi @Malypense,

Good Day.  A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the post regarding assistance to print double sided and single sided at the same time.  I will be delighted to assist you here.

Splendid description and great observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

I will not beat around the bush here. The setting to incorporate both duplex printing and single-sided printing simultaneously is not be available as a feature of either the operating system or the printer.

Here are a few links that will assist you with duplex printing.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care now and have a superb week ahead. 🙂
