Paper tray CATCH is extended into position  now it won't release or return into slot position .  Must be a trick to allow catch to release and let you slide it back into tray.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting issue with the tray extender. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  • Power on the Printer.
  • Manually pull the Extender to fully extend.
  • Using a flash light, check inside the printer for a Black colored Plastic Flag which should be in a upright position on left side of the extender.
  • You may press it, it should retract to its original position (vertical) automatically.
  • Then manually close the extender.
  • Power off the printer, unplug the power cable, wait for 30 seconds and then plug in the power cord to printer.
  • Power On the printer.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
