When doing the printhead alignment in the maintenance section, it always comes up alignment failed. What can I do next? The print quality and printheead functions seem to work, but not the alignment. I am unable to print except for the above two test that I mentioned.

Have you tried to make copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer?
