printing problem HP OFFICE JET PRO 8610

HP Recommended
HP OFFICE JET PRO 8610
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I have a problem printing using HP officejet Pro 8610, It prints very slow and then it stop in the middle and then prints again after a 3 to 5 seconds, it's very time consuming. I have been experiencing this for 2 weeks and this printer is brand new like 2 weeks old. i have tried reinstalling it 3x already. I'm using wireless connection to the printer but even if using a usb cable I still encounter this problem. please help me with this printer.

Hey @FICONT,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you are having some issues with slow printing from your Windows 8.1 PC to your Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done, please let me know if you still have slow printing issues.

Please let me know if this resolves your issues. If it does, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

If that did not resolve your issue, this document should assist you with troubleshooting connectivity issues with your printer.

Please let me know if this prevents the issue.

Alright, one other thing to try:

  1. In your search bar type in Printers and open Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
  3. Click on Remove Device.
  4. Repeat for any other icons of your printer listed.
  5. Click on Add Printer and follow the prompts to add a new queue for your printer.

If you have completed all of the troubleshooting steps I have provided to this point and you still have the issue, the next step would be to contact HP Support directly by clicking on this link and filling out the form at the bottom to see what other troubleshooting steps they have available.

Please let me know if you get your issue resolved.

I'm having a hard time finding a "HP Officejet Pro 6860 Printer".

Which operating system are you running?

Please explain in more detail what is happening.

  1. Are you having difficulties setting up the printer?
  2. Are you having problems installing the HP Software?
  3. What is the error message you're receiving or how far are you getting in the setup process?

If you need further assistance, please let me know the following information above. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck! Smiley Happy
