"HP Genuine Cartridge Previously Used"

2 days ago I bought an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 (M9L66A) from Staples ... April 20.  The printer and ink cartridges were sealed before I installed them. Today I am getting a message that HP Genuine Cartridges are installed ... Previously Used! A status report shows they were installed 2017/04/18 which is impossible.  The ink levels are at 90 (black) 80, 80, 80.

Going through your post, I understand that you are getting a message on the printer which says "Previously used genuine HP cartridges installed". You mentioned that the printer came with the cartridges. Did you install the cartridges? Or was the cartridges already in the printer? Please do let me know.

If you receive this message after you installed a new cartridge, you can disregard it by pressing the Ok option.

Here is a support document that can help with the "Previously Used Genuine HP Cartridges Installed" message - A 'Used or Counterfeit Cartridge Detected' or 'Counterfeit Cartridge Advisory' Message Displays.
