Photosmart 5520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer prints in colored inks fine, they are also new cartridges. Replaced the black ink twice with HP Ink and the printer will not print in black. If I change the settings to black and white, nothing will come up on the page. I have done the clean heads, and the print quality diagnostic and the diagnostic shows no black ink at all. Any suggestions the machine is just 3 years old

Search for more if needed.  If no joy your printer is toast.

Well it is toast, after 5 HP printers I've jumped ship and bought a Canon....we'll see how this goes. Thanks for all the fixes, tried them all and nothing.
