Since firmware update. Third party ink cartridges do not work on my HP 6600 how do I roll back update

The so called FIX on HP support does not list the 6600 printer or many others I'm sure will be affected

That was a very greedy thing to do especially if what I'm reading on the subject is true, says HP baked the so-called security measure into the printers only to be activated in stealth via firmware update. I have every right to use whatever cartridge I choose I will not be told to use something against my will so HP fix this greedy manuver or all of my HP equipment will be trash ed then and I will boycott HP from now on. lets all get together and let HP know we the people will not be used like this.
