Hello;
I have problems about using hp scanjet g4050 scanner.
- Blue tint problem. Everything document i scan is bluish. Even this driver cannot solve the problem.
- Page size problem. Scanned pdf output is 21,79 cm x 31,29 cm which is not a4. I have to set it to 21 x 29,70 everytime for every page despite a4 is selected from presettings.
I install every latest updates.
Can you please help me solve these problems?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Chadjask,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I see you are having problems with your HP Scanjet g4050, you are getting a blue tint on your scanned images as well as the A4 page size. To better assist you can you please let me know the following:
1. What is your current Operating system Windows or Mac and which version?
2. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the full feature software and drivers?
I noticed the full feature software and drivers were recently updated on 2014-02-13, this may be a helpful solution to install the most recent drivers.
I will watch for your reply with the requested information so we can begin!
Thanks,
I work on behalf of HP

Thank you for the answer.
My operating system is Windows 7 32-Bit.
I already tried uninstalling and re-installing latest (recently updated on 2014-02-13) full feature software; but bluish scan and page size problem still remains.
But this solved my bluish scan problem: I found old version of full feature software in my hard disk (File is signed by hp on 18.09.2012). I installed this and later applied blue tint patch. At the moment i dont have any problems regarding blue scan. I I think there may be a problem with new drivers.
But page size problem (about wrong dimensions) still there.
Thank you.

I am glad you were able to get rid of the blue tint in your scans. As for the paper size, let's go ahead and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor- It was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers.
If you are still having an issue with the page sizes please continue with the steps listed below:
1.In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder
2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.
- Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
- Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
- Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.
3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
5. Choose 'Remove driver only'
6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.
I will watch for the outcome.
Thank you,
