Product: hp8610
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

 have an hp 8610 installed on win7pro host (64 bit),  have hp8610 software installed on win7pro client,(32 bit) that does   not have a physical printer.

 

     printer redirects as expected, accepts print test page, output  appears and disappears in print que

    printer does not print anything. 

 

   from the "host" local test page prints as expected.

  

    posts on forums  state that using 8600 driver has been successful  in some cases

 

    rdp from wiin7 with 8610    to winxppro 32bit client,  printing from xppro client appears on win7 printer

 

   replacing winxppro client  with win7pro 32 bit client,  no print

 

1. need to scrub previous installs of hp 8600 hp 8610 from client that does not have a printer

    uninstall fails when it cant find a device.

 

2. need to install driver only to scrubbed client that does not have printer

    

3. need links on HP sites for the scrubber uninstaller, and the drivers  for both win7, and install instructions

 

4.  clarification on hp support for these printers  in an rdp environment.   there are 4 sets of win7,win8 hosts currently      connecting thru rdp to winxppro clients.  have to upgrade the xppro clients, and retain remote printing functions.
