what difference is there between hp 934 and hp 904 cartridges

hello . they look the same to me but , is there any difference between hp 934 and hp 904 cartridges

The main thing is they are made for different printers.

Different electrical characteristics, speed, drops per inch stuff like that.

Hello again , Thank you for your reply , so if that's the only difference between them could i use them instead of ? .

because a friend of mine gave me a box full ( about 24 sets in total ) , and it would be a shame to see them going to waste , . i dont mind the printer being slower if it will do the job for now , What do you think .? .

If you put one in the printer will fail to use it because it is not the correct cartridge.   Sell them on eBay.

But if you want to try, go ahead and see what happens.

Hello again , thank you for your quick reply ,  I will try them , what have i got to lose apart from the printer will not work , and if they don't then i can just replace with the hp904 . 

I will let you know what happens . .
