The WIndows 7 Driver should work but the WIndows 8 driver will be availible in late 2012...please post and let me know if the Windows 7 driver worked and you need to have the lastest firmware update using a Windows 7 machine.

Just bought a HP laptop with windows 8 and unable to print. Getting urgent now as I use this printer as my main printer for my busniess. You think buying the same branded devices that something would work!

its now Early 2013! Still shows this message on the website. Come on, ive got letters to print.

Today, a solution for your printer is not available for Windows 8. However, a driver update will be available in late 2012.

Ill give it till the end of next week. But as printing is urgent for me i will need to look for a new printer. Sadly it won't be a HP this time around.

The fact that there are so few drivers without Win8 compatibility shows the effort that HP is making. I am sorry for your inconvenience.
