I've attached a document showing how to setup scan to network folder for Officejet Pro 90xx printers.
Make sure to check the section "Verify that the Current Printer Time is set to the GMT equivalent of the current time on the macOS client."
These steps are important to follow or it will not work properly.
I originally wrote this document. But it turns out that the 80xx devices may not support Scan to Network Folder.
I borrowed it from one of your postings.
I thought it was good information.
Indeed, 80xx model does not support this feature, therefore removed it from the post listing 🙂
By the way, great and very helpful information is provided in the document, thanks for sharing @IronBadger and @StretchMusic!
I'm running Windows, but thought your doc might help, so I modified the printer time to be GMT. It still doesn't work.
The network folder is on a NAS connected by ethernet to my router on a private network. It is of the form \\companynas\Scans. The OfficeJet 9015 is connected to the same router via ethernet, as well. When I hit Test from within the EWS interface, it fails every time. Any ideas?
I do have the same problem as NightStalkerTX discribed. Pretty not sure why. Any other Computer in the network does find and have access to the folder. The OfficeJet 9020 not...
with my device officejet pro 9020 it is the same - network connection error, when i try to scan to a network folder on a NAS. Every other computer or the older officejet pro 8720/8730 printers have no problems. Unfortunately i missed the return time-window on online-store with 4 days. It seems to be a network-protocol issue on the 90xx series - it is build much cheaper in every way to the predecessors (87xx-series) - i´ll try some other configurations, alternative to return the printer for fixing is very expensive... I ´ll send some solutions, if some works...
a scan on officejet 9019 produces a scan not legible
I have tried all the scan fixes and it says it is good but this is what I get is an image that is us not viewable
