Hi @ARIEL222222,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 5530 printer is encountering a problem and doesn’t allow printing even after replacing the ink cartridges, it sounds like there might be a deeper issue at play. Here are some steps to diagnose and hopefully resolve the problem:

1. Verify Printer Status and Connection

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is powered on and displays no error messages or warning lights on the control panel.

Check Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it’s a wireless printer, ensure it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

2. Perform Basic Troubleshooting

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the issue.

3. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Follow the instructions to install any updates.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    • This tool can diagnose and fix many common printing issues. Download it from the HP Support website and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Check Printer Settings and Configuration

Printer Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your HP Envy 5530, and select Printer Properties. Check the settings to ensure the printer is set as the default and there are no conflicts.

Check Print Queue:

  • Make sure there are no stuck print jobs in the queue. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what’s printing. Cancel any stuck print jobs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
