Hi @ARIEL222222,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 5530 printer is encountering a problem and doesn’t allow printing even after replacing the ink cartridges, it sounds like there might be a deeper issue at play. Here are some steps to diagnose and hopefully resolve the problem:
1. Verify Printer Status and Connection
Check Printer Status:
- Ensure that the printer is powered on and displays no error messages or warning lights on the control panel.
Check Connection:
- Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it’s a wireless printer, ensure it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
2. Perform Basic Troubleshooting
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the issue.
3. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers
Update Firmware:
- Visit the HP Support website and check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Follow the instructions to install any updates.
Update Drivers:
- Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- This tool can diagnose and fix many common printing issues. Download it from the HP Support website and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Check Printer Settings and Configuration
Printer Settings:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your HP Envy 5530, and select Printer Properties. Check the settings to ensure the printer is set as the default and there are no conflicts.
Check Print Queue:
- Make sure there are no stuck print jobs in the queue. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what’s printing. Cancel any stuck print jobs.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
