Trying to commission new 1536. The top feeder works for copying the bottom feeder gets jammed every time on entry of the blank paper. Is there a transit screw or something that I need to remove. This seems like a very basic problem. Also is there a manual on how to maintain the printer, remove toner cartridge etc? Again this seems like super basic requirement - thanks!

Hello ChangzhouChris,

Troubleshooting Paper Jams and Maintenance for HP LaserJet Printers.

If you are experiencing paper jams with the bottom feeder on your HP LaserJet Pro M1536, and want guidance on maintenance and handling common tasks like toner replacement, here are some steps and resources:

Paper Jam Troubleshooting
Inspect the Paper Tray:

Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray. Adjust the paper guides so they fit snugly against the paper without bending it.
Check for Packing Materials:

Verify that all packing materials or transit screws, which may be there to secure parts during shipping, have been removed. Check the inside of the printer for any tape, plastic inserts, or foam.
Clear Jammed Paper:

Gently remove any jammed paper by pulling it out straight, to avoid tearing the paper. Open any access doors on the printer to check for scraps or fragments.
Inspect Rollers:

Check the rollers for any signs of obstruction or damage. Cleaning the rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water can help in removing dust and debris.
Printer Manual and Maintenance
User Manual:

The user manual for your HP LaserJet Pro M1536 can provide detailed instructions for setting up the printer, performing basic operations, and regular maintenance tasks. You can download a PDF version from the HP Support website.
Removing and Replacing Toner Cartridge:

Here's a basic guide to remove and replace the toner cartridge:
Open the front door of the printer.
Carefully take out the toner cartridge using the handle.
Unpack the new cartridge, removing all protective seals and tapes.
Insert the new cartridge into the printer, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
Regular Maintenance:

Clean the printer periodically, including removing dust and debris from the paper path.
Regularly check for firmware updates as they may contain fixes for known issues.
